After 17 years on the road with The Oak Ridge Boys, I took my final bow February 1st., 2014. It was a bittersweet farewell as it is always sad when families break up. Playing and traveling with The Oak Ridge Boys was more than just a job to me....it was the world I grew up in. I will have to say, that looking back I never intended to be there quite as long, but I found it hard to jump off of a moving train. I logged 3000 plus shows, (that is a lot of mau maus) and over a million miles during my tenure. Many people have asked 'what are you going to do?" It is simple...Music is my life, my gift, my love... and I cannot imagine doing anything else. I am now back to doing what makes my heart smile....singing and making new music with my family and friends. I would like to personally thank the thousands of folks who have reached out with love, support, and well wishes. May they be reflected back to you many times over. Someday I will come back to this post and tell the whole story. I ask you for prayers for me and my family as we start a new chapter.
